*sigh* Day 1. Finally caving in to to “blogging”, a practice I’d forsworn as largely ridiculous. Nothing good will come of this. Right? I mean, this is essentially a public record of an embarrassing lapse of impulse control. The day Dad started his substack blog. For people as fundamentally lazy (and focused on esoteric scientific matters) as me, it’s hard to imagine that typing on a website might produce something of enduring value for future generations. However, it’s at least possible to make them cringe - and that’s not nothing, is it?
